Lionel Messi looks back on his season with Miami since arriving in the summer as the season has begun.

Miami stumbled across the finish line in 2023, with a series of disappointing results causing them to miss out on a play-in spot. The season came to an end with a 1-0 loss to Charlotte FC on the road.

Messi performed well in that game, but was forced to miss several important games due to injury. His absence prevented Inter Miami from finishing in the top nine in the Eastern Conference, but he did inspire the team to a historic Carabao Cup victory within weeks of his arrival in the United States.

"I am proud of everything the team achieved this season," he said.

"With everyone's hard work and effort, we were able to win the @leaguescup, achieving the first title in the history of the Inter Miami, we reached the final of the Lamar Hunt U.S. @opencup and we were even fighting to get into the @mls Playoffs practically until the last moment."

Looking forward to the future

Messi believes that there is room for improvement in the future.

"We keep all the good things and above all the desire to improve in order to be even more competitive next year," he said, showing his ambition.

"I would like to thank all the people of the club and the city of Miami for the support they always give us.

"I am sure that we will continue to experience incredible moments together as we have in the last few months."
